Record of Cruise arrivals at La Coruna during September

La Coruna Port registered a record balance of cruise passengers during September, with a total of 31 cruise arrivals. This cruises favored days of massive influx of foreign tourists to the city and a concentration of arrivals with no precedent in the history of our Port.

An example of this situation was the third week of this month, with the arrival of ten vessels until Sunday.Only day 19 th La Coruna received the triple scale of the Celebrity Eclipse, Island Sky and Midnatsol cruises, which had a capacity for more than 4,000 passengers, arriving at the Corunna docks during all day.

After this visit, the following week there was double berths during Wednesday and Thursday, as well as the first stop at our port of the vessel MSC Fantasia, with a capacity for more than 3,200 passengers and with this visit it starts her arrivals and reinforcing the best of great ship Company as MSC Cruises for this destination in the Notrh of Spain.

Also during that weekend others as Mein Schiff 3 with capacity for 2,500 passengers and Boudicca from the well know shipping company Fred Olsen with capacacity of more than 2,600 passengers arrived here, reached our port the ten vessel arrivals and more than 13,000 passengers who enjoyed our city during September.

Arrivals in all the days, three of them of more than one ship, give as a result one of the most intense weeks of the Port of La Coruna in the sector of maritime cruises, confirming the positive impact in economic benefit for the city ans also in promotion of its image tourism as an Atlantic destination of the first order.

For the total of the year another record is expected, with around 170,000 pessengers on 120 arrivals, consolidating La Coruna Port in the leadership of the Atlantic coast in number of berths ans placing it also in first place in number of passengers.
